The Aristotle University of Thessaloniki announced the 4th  run the MOOC “Programming for non-Programmers” through the colMOOC project, funded by the Erasmus+ initiative. The course presents the basic concepts and structures of algorithmic thinking and programming with Python language. The course offers you the opportunity to learn how to write Python code to write algorithms, process data, and provide answers to scientific problems that you deal with in your studies and research activities.

The course incorporates the new innovative “chat agent” which encourages more student engagement and participation, allows participants to interact in pairs to discuss and solve the tasks presented to them.

During the course, students were asked to watch pre-recorded video lectures, answer multiple-choice quizzes after each video, and at the end of each week, participate in weekly agent chat activities and submit a weekly programming assignment.
